first post in a while....

a piece i did for an art jam on deviantArt, we were to pick a character and do a closeup shot/portrait of that character. i chose one of my fav characters in animation...the iron giant.

an illustration assignment from last semester(fall 08) orignally a study on lineart and value using solid line i went in and finished it with full color. the composition is based after Neil Gaimans short story "dont ask jack"

heres a little pet project ive been fiddlin with on photoshop. probably the first original character ive posted thus far, nothing big just a sketch i decided to color.

what you can expect from me...

first off i do alot of illustration based work. most of my work displays characters in some sort of situation, either to tell a story or a joke etc.

First time post...

i figured after putting my artwork on every other site im involved in i might as well put it on here as well. my name's Lee Dixon im a Devout Christian and a striving artist, i work mostly in traditional mediums along the lines of prismacolor markers, some pastels and watercolor but also i dabble a bit in photoshop as well, my usual subject matter veries with each project but it usually has a comic or cartoon inspired theme, but i also like to work in life studies and figure drawings from time to time. so keep an eye out for artwork updates and new pieces.
